This video and the following images show an HD model I created. It's one of the steam punk robots made in Z-Brush during the concept phase.
Originally we were considering going with a Steam Punk look. This video details how the character system was being designed with UMA. I had created the artwork in this concept to help communicate robot customization options.
UI Concepts I created using a Unity Asset Store scene and Photoshop.
After the focus group testing, we found younger kids prefer Wall-E like robots and a more realistic look. This was the scene I built in Unity to allow focus group testing for camera and character controls. It was built for mobile and desktop so the lighting is baked utilizing a Unity Standard shader. The robot is using the Unity Mobile shader. The environment cubemap was built with maps from a free Unity Asset Store package and re-purposed with NASA images of the Milky Way.
Nathan Reinhardt and Taylor Smith created the models and concept artwork.
